Bitsmi
Bitsmi is a sports app concept that reimagines the fitness experience by integrating music tempo with the user's heartbeat. Designed for mobile devices and Apple Watch, this school project is a conceptual design that has not yet been developed.
The focus of this project was to explore ways to motivate users in a fun and engaging manner through gamification. By incorporating gamification elements, the app aims to continuously motivate users without making them feel pressured. To achieve this, I studied psychological design methods to create an app that is both enjoyable and user-friendly.
Research
First I had to research and understand the relationship between music tempo and physical performance to understand how synchronization could enhance workout experiences. To compare features I studied existing fitness and music apps to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for innovation.
Gamification
I added a competition feature to the app. Where you and your friends can challenge each other and compete who has run the longest for example. To make this enjoyable for everyone theres a reward system where at the end of the challenge there will be a leaderboard and everyone gets as a revard a playlist mix of the songs that have been listend to by everyone through this competition.
